Breath new life into old furniture.   

 You will learn about tools, materials, and fabric. Bring a small chair and a flexible tape measure to class the first night.  This popular class is limited to eight.  Classes are 14 weeks.

Sew, sew, sew your clothes gently with a seam!

Now is the time to stitch a seam.  Learn how to sew and make clothes and more.  You’ll learn to use a sewing machine and how to work with patterns.  We provide the sewing machines for the class.  Join us for a class that will be useful and fun. These classes are six weeks.

A quilting we will go.

Our instructor is an accomplished model, actress, and entrepreneur.  She attended UCLA majoring in communications and then attended the Los Angeles Theater Academy.  She has experience in television and films. 

This class will offer scene study, cold reading, on camera techniques, speaking techniques, and voice and diction.  Classes are six weeks.

Interior Design for the Home I, II

Take a step into the world of interior design and decorating.  We begin with the basics in class I, and move to more advanced work in class II .  You will learn simple tricks that decorators use to visually enhance your residence.  In class II, emphasis is placed on creating focal points application of window treatments, and organization of your home.  Class II teaches furniture arrangement, design flow, decorating for the holidays, and decorating for entertaining.  Class I is a prerequisite for II.  Class I is four nights, and class II is four nights.

Painting with Acrylics/Beginners

 In this fun and interesting class, students will be exploring standard painting techniques such as masking, wet and dry brush painting, knife painting, glazing, and color mixing.  Students will explore "Painting as you Feel"; meaning participants will paint from their own self expression. 

Lectures, demonstrations, and exercises change weekly. Individualized guidance and critique are offered when appropriate.

Gourmet Cooking 2010

Our instructors are well qualified gourmet cooks with professional experience and training.  Mrs. Christmas is the primary chef and her husband is the sous chef who prepares amazing desserts.

Class 1:    Divine Dining with Pate’ a Choux. Couples will enjoy an evening watching a gourmet meal being prepared for them. Once the meal has been completed, each couple will be served.  While everyone is enjoying their gourmet meal, a special dessert is being prepared and then served.  This could be a special Valentine meal.

Class 2:  Gourmet Made Easy. Enjoy tasting a gourmet meal being prepared for two nights of class.  The third night will be devoted to desserts to die for.  Each person will assist with preparation and tasting.  At the end of the course, you will receive recipes for all dishes.

Class 3:  Spice it up with Spices! Learn how to purchase spices and when to use them.  We will experiment with many different spices from different cultures.  We will learn when it is best to use which spices.

Class 4:  Party On! Are you tired of the same old party foods?  Would you like to learn to make some easy and great tasting hors d’oeuvres?  Would you like to put some zing in your party? Let’s get cooking and try some new ideas.
