Winter/Spring 2010 Classes

Child Care

Remaining Child Care Classes will be done in two parts to receive 5 hours credit.

Child Care classes for certification hours will be offered at Poynor Adult and Community Education Center.  We will offer one class per month beginning in January and concluding in May.  Classes will be held the third Tuesday or the third Thursday each month.

There will be a special five hour class on Saturday, April 24 from 10:00am-3:00pm.Cost:$25.00

Class : Thursday, May 13 and Tuesday May 18  Subject Area: Growth and Development                                                                            5 hours certification credit Cost:$25.00

KEYBOARDING or WORD PROCESSING

These classes are taught in a self-paced lab environment. A teacher is available for individual assistance. Classes are scheduled during lab hours.

Work Keys

Work Keys

As part of the Career Readiness Initiative, we will be offering classes for WorkKeys Preparation and for ParaPro Credentials.  If you have taken the WorkKeys test and need to increase your score or would like to prepare before taking  the test, classes will be available this winter/spring.

Work Keys tests are given the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

2010 Classes

CPR

These classes will cover the new CPR techniques.  Classes are taught the first Saturday of each month beginning January 9 at 478 West Evans Street.  Registration is taken at Poynor. Come by Poynor prior to taking class to pick up CPR books.
